What to expect from the program?

The Learning Intensive

Your journey begins with the Certified Chair™ learning intensive – an instructor led, peer learning experience available in a virtual or traditional classroom setting. This includes:

  • Mastery of the ABF101 Advisory Board Best Practice Framework™ – the world-class standard for best practice in advisory boards and committees
  • Deep dive into the practical applications of advisory structures including startups/scale-ups, project-based advisory boards and corporatised advisory boards
  • Tools and resources for chairs to support “freedom within a framework” evaluation, implementation and facilitation of highly-effective advisory structures
  • Development of your personal portfolio engagement strategy including profiling and positioning
  • Research-backed and evidence-based content, resources & methodologies with practical application across your entire portfolio
  • Rights to use the Certified Chair™ badge usage for LinkedIn, email and other profiles

After the Learning Intensive – Professional Membership

After completing the Certified Chair™ learning-intensive, you will continue to be supported within your annual professional membership with:

  • An active global network of highly curated peers who are deeply engaged and committed to the advancement and adoption of advisory boards

The Certified Chair™ Executive Program is $6,490 AUD + GST, this includes the learning-intensive and 12 months of professional membership with us.

How long is the Certified Chair™ Executive Program?

In-person delivery is 2 full days and virtual delivery is spread across 4 half days.

Do I have to be located in a particular country to undertake the Certified Chair™ Executive Program?

No, you can access the Certified Chair™ Executive Program from anywhere in the world with our fully facilitated virtual program. The certification is globally recognised and the course material is relevant to senior leaders across the world. Our community currently spans 16 different countries.

After the credential process, how will I secure opportunities to chair advisory boards?

The Certified Chair™ Executive Program covers a 12-month period where we will support you to develop your network, personal profile and portfolio. It is your responsibility to reach out to your network, respond to opportunities and forge your own path ahead.

Organisations actively seeking advisory board chairs and advisors can be supported through our independent Advisor Concierge service where we facilitate connections to our global advisory community.
