Mark scales up growth businesses, their leaders and their teams. His market focus is on smart services, emerging tech and knowledge-based businesses. Mark specialises in creating, building, reviewing and chairing Advisory Boards and in mentoring CEOs, their Boards and leadership teams. Mark currently serves on four Advisory Boards and chairs two of these bodies.
Mark has worked with three of the Big Four professional services firm holding national, Asia Pacific and global leadership roles – serving for 15 years as the Global Business Development Leader for PwC’s Entrepreneurial & Private Clients business, COO for the Asia Pacific region, as MD in PwC’s national scale-up accelerator program, as the Sales and Marketing Partner at EY and in different CMO roles. He has worked as a CMO in six organisations including Westpac’s corporate, institutional and international business. Mark has served as a Private Secretary to a Federal Treasurer and on both Governance and Advisory Boards as a Non- Executive Director and Chairman.
At the Advisory Board Centre Mark is a Certified Chair, serves as a designated Mentor to senior executives supporting them with our Executive Transition Program, co-presented the Social Ethics session with Ram Castillo at our 2020 National Megatrends Festival and is part of our Planning Team for our 2021 National Festival to be held in Brisbane. In his pro bono work Mark works as a social entrepreneur to mentor and coach organisation leaders and teams in Australia’s First Nations peoples, the Muslim womens’ community and climate change groups. Working with his Co-Chair, Kylie Murphy, we have a vision to ensure a powerful, connected and collaborative Sydney community of Advisory Board Centre leaders that delivers value to each member, grows our community and in so doing supports the growth of Australian businesses and their leaders.
