The Advisory Board Centre has released the 2026–2028 5th Edition of the Code of Ethics for Advisory Board Professionals, reflecting significant changes since the 2024 release.
Launched at the Megatrends Summit on 9 October, it is a cornerstone resource for the sector. Advisory Board Centre Members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Code of Ethics & Guidelines and activate the principles in their own professional practice.
The launch of the Code comes as the advisory board market continues to mature in modern governance systems across local and global markets. As highlighted through the “State of the Market Global Report” series, this growth brings opportunity and responsibility. In a largely unregulated sector, shared self-regulated standards are essential to help define what “good” looks like, protect the trust placed in advisory board professionals and support quality and ethical work.
“The development of Version 5 has carefully considered the role of technology, AI and Intelligent Tools. It has been purposeful in the role of the professional advisor to step up in their capacity for independence, responsible use of information and human-centred decision-making frameworks.”
Advisory Board Centre Members can download the Code via Advisory Board World. Members are invited to complete the Code of Ethics Assessment to demonstrate their committment to Best Practice. Completion of the Assessment will take around 4 hours and a sharable badge and certificates will be provided upon successful completion.
