Specific details of your event will be confirmed in your event run sheet. We have included helpful information below to guide you on the way we deliver events to participants.


Event Purpose

Advisory Board Centre-hosted events are designed to provide a platform to share your subject matter expertise/knowledge on a topic linking how this is meaningful, important, and valuable in an advisory board/strategic advisory context for businesses and/or advisors.

Public Webinars (Executive Insights): The audience will consist of business owners, executives, service providers, advisory/board professionals, and members of the Advisory Board Centre community.

Note: we generally do not make recordings or slide decks of the public webinar series available after the program to the public. We do provide access to the recorded webinars to our Members in the Advisory Board World members-only community platform.

Member-Only Events: The audience will consist of current Advisory Board Centre members.  These sessions are designed to support members in building their knowledge, skills, and
capability in an Advisory context.  Recordings of the member-only events are available to our members in the Advisory Board World members-only community platform.


Your Planning

  • Please provide your presenter bio and HQ headshot to the Event Coordinator as soon as possible to support the event promotions and communications.
  • For public webinars, we encourage you to share the registration links with your wider networks.
  • Plan your event presentation – the best webinar formats are educational and deliver key takeaways in a concise format. We ask that you consider how your content increases the understanding of your topic in an advisory board/strategic advisory context. Please note – the Advisory Board Centre events are not “sales” events, and therefore not a channel to promote a personal or organisational service or product. We appreciate your support in this regard.
  • You will receive a calendar invite and presenter access details for the webinar. Please contact the Event Coordinator if you do not receive this information.

7 Days Before the Event (minimum)

  • Provide your PowerPoint presentation (if applicable) to the Event Coordinator via email. Your content will only be used for the agreed webinar purpose and will not be used or distributed in any other format without prior authorisation.
  • Complete a brief “tech check” with the Event Coordinator if it is a virtual event. In this session we will:
    a. Test your login, audio, and video, and familiarise yourself with Zoom controls – we do not recommend presenting from a mobile or tablet device
    b. Confirm the run sheet and briefly review your presentation content
    c. Finalise pre-planned interview questions for the facilitated Q&A


Event Follow-Up

We send follow-up communication to all event registrants. In this communication, we will provide details on how they can connect with you if they want further information. We do not
provide contact details of registrants to any external parties. If you have any questions on follow-up, please discuss these with the Event Coordinator in the planning stage.


Public Distribution

By participating in this event, you grant permission to the Advisory Board Centre and its agents or employees to use photographs and/or video and audio taken of you. These images may be used in educational, documentary and commercial materials such as public service announcements, grant applications, video documentaries, commercial television and both printed and online newsletters and newspapers. Furthermore, you authorise the use of your image, likeness, and voice for all program promotion, materials, and any other purposes in connection with the program deemed appropriate and necessary by the Advisory Board Centre.
