Dr Carl Bezuidenhout is a Certified Chair™ with the Advisory Board Centre and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA and a PhD from the University of Wollongong.
His doctoral research examined how artificial intelligence is reshaping professional services firms, particularly law and accounting firms, with a focus on trust, professional judgement and shifting competitive boundaries.
With more than 20 years’ experience in senior growth and strategy roles across financial services, property, information services and professional services in South Africa and Australia, Carl has worked closely with partners and executive teams to drive revenue, strengthen client relationships and reposition service offerings.
He now supports leadership teams to cut through the noise around AI. Rather than treating it as a technology project, he works with organisations to clarify where AI genuinely changes value creation, risk and client expectations, and where it does not. His focus is practical: helping firms make deliberate choices about capability, governance and positioning before the market makes those choices for them.
