The journey started when the entrepreneur, a highly skilled CPA/CFA from Vancouver Island in Canada, shared a software solution he had developed to help him plan and manage his personal finances. Louis played a key role in helping the entrepreneur realize that he could turn this into a business and share his ingenuity to help clients reach their life goals.

The startup needed more than general guidance; it required mission, strategy, technical and commercial work-products, a prototype, a business plan, a founding team, advisors, and investors. Louis supported the founder each step of the way, aware that his job was to empower the entrepreneur, not to carry the operational load. Two years later, the pair had built enough to convince a recent NYC fintech unicorn founder to take over as a CEO of the firm. Together, they built the team and raised a seed round with the goal of taking the product to market within 90 days.
