Renée B. Lahti

Renée is a curious change-provoking, Design Thinker leader, who passionately and boldly supports STEAM programs with a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. As a Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) and a Chief Transformation Officer (CTrO) for 20+ years, Renée was responsible for leading initiatives that drove digital transformation for business and social value. Prior to her current role as Distinguished Fellow and Advisor at the management consulting firm Avasant,

Renée has held CIO and CTrO positions at Hitachi, SC Johnson & Sons and Symantec Corporation as well as senior leadership roles at Oracle/PeopleSoft and Microsoft. Renée holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Texas, with additional executive certifications from Wharton School of Business and University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Today Renée’s work draws on her years of experience to provide advisory expertise ranging from growing/scaling a business, to helping support key transitions within a company, to expanding a company into new markets, to providing strategic sourcing strategy for clients.
